Gastronomy
The gastronomy is very varied but we can highlight the "TAYOYO" native variant of the commonly called Tlayoyo, based on corn, alverjón or aba, avocado tree leaf that adds its characteristic flavor. The Chilpozontle de Pollo traditionally made in their communities together with the Mole, are traditional dishes for their parties. Yolixpa and Aguardiente are the alcoholic beverages par excellence, produced by Zacapoaxtecan hands. The Punche, badasa drink in egg white, brandy and Ruda beaten with cane roots until foamy. And we finish with the Gaznate, a typical sweet from Zacapoaxtla.
Cocineras Tradicionales
Nuestra tierra es rica en el ámbito de la gastronomía, por lo que se ha dado la necesidad de constituir a las cocineras tradicionales representativas de cada comunidad, teniendo un total de 32 cocineras tradicionales, de las cuales 12 de ellas son las que activamente cumplen los requisitos necesarios y se encuentran a disposición.
